One hundred years ago, Yevgeny Zamyatin published his extraordinary dystopian novel We.

The anthology The Utopia of Us, edited by Teika Marija Smits, marks this centenary with stories inspired by the novel. Royalties from the book will be donated to Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

I contributed a story called “The Integral – True Literature – Everything Is Blooming,” which I describe in this blog post. I’m excited to read the whole anthology inspired by this fascinating writer–not only an influential author of science fiction but an uncategorizable revolutionary, an incorrigible eccentric, and a clear-sighted poet of small things.
